"In Vino Veritas: A Harmonious Symphony of Nature's Truth"
Delmar León's painting, "In Vino Veritas," is an awe-inspiring masterpiece created solely with painting knives, using a dynamic combination of oil and acrylic. This captivating artwork brings together elements of a lilac flower, a woman with a hat observing the distant vista of a vineyard, and the dynamic motion of hummingbirds' wings. The strong and deliberate strokes of the knives create a harmonious composition, enhanced by a soft periwinkle palette that evokes the consciousness associated with Jesus, inviting viewers to contemplate the deeper truths found within nature.
At the heart of the painting, a lilac flower bursts forth with vibrant energy. Created with the textured layers and expressive techniques of painting knives, the lilac exudes a captivating allure. The knives' bold strokes bring a sense of depth and dimension, capturing the intricate beauty of the flower's delicate petals. Shades of purples and soft lavenders dance across the canvas, embodying the lilac's timeless grace and intoxicating fragrance.
Amidst the lilac's enchantment, a woman wearing a hat gazes into the distance, her presence adding an air of contemplation and serenity. Though her features are suggested rather than defined, the artist's skilled use of painting knives conveys a sense of movement and a profound connection with the natural world. As the woman stands within the vineyard, a symbol of fertility and abundance, she embodies the harmonious relationship between humanity and nature.
Hovering above, hummingbirds grace the scene with their ethereal presence. The knives' strong and angular strokes capture the vibrant energy of their wings in mid-flight, evoking their agile and rapid movement. The hummers become a symbol of the joy and vitality found in nature, their dynamic presence adding a sense of liveliness to the composition.
The color palette of "In Vino Veritas" is delicately composed of soft periwinkle, a hue that evokes a sense of spiritual consciousness. This serene shade envelops the lilac flower, the woman, and the hummingbirds, infusing the painting with a tranquil and introspective atmosphere. The use of periwinkle serves as a gentle reminder of the wisdom and divine connection found in nature, resonating with the consciousness associated with Jesus.
"In Vino Veritas" is an inspiration to behold, a harmonious symphony of truth and beauty found in nature. Delmar León's skilled use of painting knives, oil, and acrylic brings forth a composition that invites viewers to explore the deeper meanings within the world around us. Through the lilac's captivating allure, the woman's contemplation, and the hummingbirds' spirited flight, the painting resonates with the profound interconnectedness of existence. It reminds us to seek truth in the timeless wisdom of nature.
In Vino Veritas
I grow up hearing people, especially the elderly, talk pretty much in parabolas; with “ refranes” and with all the Church speeches referring to the teaching of Jesus in the same way, which seems full of hiding wisdom.
Just for those that “ are ready,” the ones that are smart and can read what’s between the lines… since then
I have always been looking for meaning, more meaning, behind every word, every pause, every movement and gesture of the one talking….
With the years acknowledging that this secret knowledge is more than a pearl of ancient wisdom passed down thru generations just thru words…
Thru stories that inspire better value or more common sense
Stories that inspire and invite you to look at yourself and the way you are about in the world
Therefore this series ….A first but not a vain intent to capture some of these “says, “ and at the moment the one started, some of my own started flowing in… so they may be just my trues, and the truth comes better when Vine is involve
It loses our tongue and relaxes our perception of what’s ok to say
So it’s said.
So In Vino Veritas and a Contradiction, flowers and landscaping may not seem to be related but here's where you come in
To make the connection and read between the líneas.
That is how This Series: IN VINO VERITAS, was born... from a dream long dreamt looking to make a meaningful impact within our perception.
